“Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear (Hebrews 12:28).” A Thought to Ponder: God is a being that requires devotion of us all and our belief in Him alone. The very first commandment given by God states, “Thou shalt have no other god besides me”. It is the first commandment because it is critical that we understand God as our creator, our redeemer, and our sustainer for all of eternity. God sent His son, Jesus Christ, who endured this life and the cross and completed the work He was sent to accomplish. Jesus now sits at the right hand of God and is beginning His rule over the earth. Our endurance comes in the form of being chastened by God. By experiencing this chastening, we are promised “the peaceable fruit of righteousness” (vs. 11). God calls to us, through His word, to endure this physical life and to not turn away from Him. This includes to not follow other gods or false teachings. Our reward is “a kingdom which cannot be moved” (vs. 28), and to be with God for all of eternity. |

Note: Let me suggest that you read this in a King James Version. This version, in my opinion, is the closest to the original text. Do not use the New King James Version. Go to this link to learn more why this is so important: http://www.christianmissionconnection.org/html/study_topics.html. |
